A little history...
Barnaby Smith started violin lessons at the age of 7, performing in his first concert later that year. He has been an active musician ever since.

He has been composing in one way or another for about as long, writing everything from exercises to help his instrumental technique, to fully accompanied tunes for an array of ensembles.

After studying A-level music and achieving Grade 8 violin and Grade 6 piano (and taking up guitar, bass and djembe), he went to The University Of Sheffield and attained a 2:1 Bachelor of Music degree, specialising in composition (1998).

In 2004 he completed a Diploma in Media Composition and has since taken up the mandolin and the drums.

He is currently in several groups, performing a wide range of music, on a variety of instruments. A list of forthcoming performances shall be appearing soon.
